Our team is growing, and we’re excited to announce an opportunity for a Compliance Officer based in Malta!
In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring that the company meets all statutory and regulatory requirements, actively contributing to the maintenance of the company’s licenses across multiple jurisdictions. Your responsibilities will include supporting the team in providing compliance advice regarding existing and emerging regulatory requirements, ensuring that company's policies and procedures remain compliant with regulatory requirements and iGaming industry standards and handling due diligence procedure. Analytical skills, communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively are key to success in this role.
THE PERFECT TEAM MEMBER IS INSPIRED TO:
- Conduct research on both domestic and international i-gaming legislation/regulations, staying up-to-date with global trends and developments.
- Support the team in providing compliance advice regarding existing and emerging regulatory requirements.
- Draft, update and maintain company’s policies and procedures to ensure ongoing compliance with regulatory standards.
- Actively contribute to the maintenance of company’s existing licenses, ensuring all requirements are met (including fulfilling ongoing reporting obligations and renewal applications) and assist in the application process for new licenses.
- Assist during internal and external audits.
- Conduct Due Diligence procedures and collect the necessary documentation on clients and service providers (as applicable) at onboarding and on an ongoing basis.
- Handle Due Diligence requests from clients regarding the company and the wider group.
- Work closely with involved parties and departments (such as legal, account management and sales) within the company and on group level to ensure compliance across business operations.
- Support and train team members and colleagues across the wider group on compliance-related matters, ensuring alignment with company culture, policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Provide continuous support and guidance on compliance matters to internal departments, ensuring alignment with company policies.
- Maintain relationships with advisors, auditors and consultants on regulatory and compliance matters.
- Communicate with regulators on behalf of the company, as required.
- Perform other compliance related tasks in accordance with company’s procedures.
- Report to the manager in a timely manner.
THE SKILLS THAT WILL GRAB OUR ATTENTION:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role within the iGaming industry.
- Experience working within regulated iGaming jurisdictions.
- Strong understanding of AML (Anti-Money Laundering) and CFT (Counter Financing of Terrorism) regulatory frameworks.
- Fluency in legal and business English; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
- A university degree or equivalent qualification in a related field is a plus.
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with a proactive and eager-to-learn mindset.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines efficiently.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
