We are currently looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer based in Malta.
As a Senior DevOps Engineer, as a part of a team you will help reach new heights of scalability, reliability, and innovation on the AWS Cloud and Google Cloud Platform. As a Senior DevOps engineer you will collaborate closely with our development teams, and spearhead infrastructure automation efforts to make a significant impact on the industry. - Collaborate with and support a team of DevOps engineers, promoting teamwork and high standards.
- Offer expertise in infrastructure technology, automation, and cloud environments.
- Partner with development teams to build and maintain CI/CD pipelines tailored to their specific requirements.
- Apply DevOps principles to enhance development cycles continuously.
- Contribute to container orchestration and deployment initiatives using Kubernetes.
THE SKILLS THAT WILL GRAB OUR ATTENTION:
- Exceptional understanding of the software development life cycle, including Build, Test, Deploy, and Dynamic Environments.
- Proven experience in architecting and maintaining container-based CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Bitbucket/GitLab CI, ArgoCD, Helm, and Docker(Dockerfile).
- Experience with continuous integration, build, test and release processes for Java, C++ and JavaScript-based frameworks
- Proficiency in managing infrastructure using declarative formats like Terraform/OpenTofu and Ansible (Collections).
- Expertise in managing Kubernetes Clusters at scale, including EKS and Rancher, as well as experience with Overlay Networks, Ingress, and Persistent Volumes.
- Strong hands-on experience with either AWS or GCP Cloud components, including EKS (Kubernetes), VPC, IAM, EC2, S3, RDS, Multi-Region setup, Global-Accelerator, Direct Connect, VPC Peering, Shared VPC Concept.
- Solid system administration skills, including shell scripting and a deep understanding of networking and network protocols.
- Proficient in English, with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Experience with the following will be considered an advantage:
- Linux, Hashicorp Vault, Consul, Vagrant, Ansible-Core, Python, Bash scripting.
- Monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus Operator, Loki, and Grafana, Grafana Mimir, zabbix.
- Familiarity with VM technologies like VMware
- Experience with Postgres on AWS RDS or Cloud SQL.
- AWS Transit Gateway, Direct Connect
